“Capitol Screen Co. had created some excellent, custom, wood-framed screens for my home. These consisted of several screens with solar screening material (as part of a home weatherization effort), in addition to regular screens to cover the rest of my windows using a quality Copper screening material. Since my home was originally built in 1939, and has had a couple of renovations performed on it since, most windows were slightly different sizes and out of aplomb & some windows were vastly different.

Rick Sims, the owner, had to measure out and make the screens custom-fit each window. The screens are made of the finest materials including hand-picked poplar wood (not cedar), using durable mortise & tenon joints (instead of using dowels or ‘biscuits’ and glue), quality screening material (real Copper for some of the screens & quality dark 65% Solar screening for the rest), 1 coat of primer & 2 coats of paint of my choosing, and quality hangars and latches. Rick installed all of the screens himself & ensured that all screens fit snugly, latched securely and that all screens met his standards.”
